2008 Links to Education recipients.

Links to Education provides scholarships to deserving college students pursuing post-secondary education at Georgia institutions.

When the program began in 2003, representatives of Assistance League of Atlanta and officials from each educational institution met and agreed on basic criteria that recipients must meet. Using this criteria, the schools select individual recipients of the Links to Education funds each year.

Since its inception, Links to Education has awarded a total of $320,000 in scholarships. In 2008-2009, the program awarded $50,000 to students attending the following institutions of higher learning:

  • Oglethorpe University
  • Wesleyan College
  • Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University
  • Georgia Perimeter College
  • Gwinnett Technical College
  • Kennesaw University

Assistance League provides the funding but is not involved in the application or selection process for these scholarships. Contact the Financial Aid offices at these six institutions for more information.
